Custom Date Display
Create your own date layout for the 12 o’clock text field.
Getting Started

Using the Garmin Connect App on your phone.

Navigate to the watch app settings.

Choose CUSTOMISE mode.

Scroll down to the 12 O'clock settings.

Select Custom date from the date/data list.

Enter your pattern in the Custom date input immediately above the list.
Customisation requires a licensed version.
Date Codes
Use uppercase letters and arrange the codes in any order.
Day
-
D — Day without a leading zero: 6
-
DD — Two-digit day: 06
-
DDD — Abbreviated weekday: Tue
Month
-
M — Month number without a leading zero: 1

MM — Two-digit month: 01
-
MMM — Abbreviated month name: Jan
Year

YY — Two-digit year: 26
-
YYYY — Four-digit year: 2026
Week Number

W — ISO week number: 2
-
WW — Two-digit ISO week number: 02
-
WWW — Week number with a W prefix: W02

WWWW — Week number with a Week prefix: Week 02

Things to Know

Use spaces, dots, commas, slashes, colons, hyphens or underscores between codes.

Weekday and month abbreviations follow your watch’s language.

Full names (DDDD and MMMM) and additional words are not supported.

Patterns can contain up to 64 characters. Long results may use a smaller font or end with ...

Leave the input blank to restore the original date display. Invalid patterns also use the original display.

Other date options and presets are unchanged. Notification overrides still apply.

ISO weeks can belong to an adjacent year around New Year; YYYY always shows the calendar year.
